J2534 + OE software

Which device works with which platform

Not every J2534 device works with every OE software stack. Some devices are universal (Autel XLINK, TOPDON RLink). Most are OE-specific (MDI2 = GM only, VCM3 = Ford only). Use this matrix to confirm BEFORE you book.

Generic J2534

Generic J2534 + FlexiHub

For AlexFlasher 3, MDI2, VCM3, VAS6154, DICE, Mongoose. These devices show up as J2534 USB devices on a Windows laptop. We bridge them to us via FlexiHub (USB-over-network).

  1. 1. Install FlexiHub on the laptop your device plugs into.
  2. 2. Sign in with the license token we email after booking.
  3. 3. Plug the device into the vehicle OBD-II port + your laptop USB.
  4. 4. We run the OE software (TDS / FJDS / VIDA / ODIS / etc.) on our side.

Autel XLINK

Autel Remote Expert OR FlexiHub

The XLINK has Autel's "Remote Expert" cloud network built into the firmware. Use that OR fall back to FlexiHub like any generic J2534.

Option A — Remote Expert (recommended)
  1. 1. Sign in on MaxiSYS / MaxiPRO with your Autel ID.
  2. 2. At appointment, start a "Remote Expert" session + paste our invitation code.
  3. 3. We accept on our side, OE software runs on our PC, XLINK tunnels traffic.
Option B — FlexiHub fallback

No Autel ID? Same FlexiHub flow as generic J2534.

TOPDON RLink

USB-share OR screen-share

The RLink Lite is a standalone Android tablet — different from a USB-only J2534. Two viable paths.

Option A — USB-share to laptop (preferred)
  1. 1. Plug the RLink into a Windows laptop via USB.
  2. 2. Install FlexiHub on the laptop.
  3. 3. RLink shows up as a J2534 device on our PC.
Option B — Screen-share the Android

Install TeamViewer QuickSupport on the RLink Android. We drive the tablet remotely. The OE software runs locally on the RLink.

Have a device that's not listed?

Text us the device + the OE platform you want — we'll confirm compatibility in minutes. Most J2534 / VCI devices we haven't documented yet still work via FlexiHub.
