Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-05-20
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using any feature of the IMMO-OFF Service (the "Service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
2. What the Service does
We accept uploaded ECU (Engine Control Unit) binaries from the customer, run automated algorithms to patch immobilizer bytes and recalculate checksums, and return the patched binary. The Service is intended for licensed automotive locksmiths and repair shops working on vehicles the customer is authorized to service.
3. Eligibility and ownership representation
You represent that you are at least 18 years old and that, for each ECU binary you submit, you either own the vehicle from which it was extracted or have explicit written permission from the vehicle owner.
4. Acceptable use
See the separate Acceptable Use Policy. In short: no use on vehicles you don't own or aren't authorized to service, no use to facilitate theft or fraud, no bypassing of emissions or safety equipment in jurisdictions where doing so is prohibited.
5. Credits and payment
Paid services are credit-based. Credits are sold in packs via Stripe Checkout. Prices displayed on the pricing page are in USD. Credits expire 90 days after purchase for the 10-pack and 1 year for the 50-pack. Single-job purchases have no expiry. We reserve the right to change pricing for future purchases; pricing for credits you already own does not change retroactively.
6. Refunds
Detailed in the Refund Policy. Briefly: if a patched dump fails to flash cleanly within 30 days due to our error (wrong variant detected, checksum verification failure), your credit is restored.
7. Data handling
Uploaded ECU binaries are stored encrypted for 30 days, then deleted. We retain audit metadata (job ID, size, sha256, detected variant, timestamp) for compliance and refund purposes. We do not train AI models on your binaries, do not share or sell them, and do not redistribute them to other customers.
8. No warranty for vehicle outcomes
We provide a software service that modifies bytes in a binary file. We cannot guarantee that any patched binary will work in your specific vehicle, will not damage the ECU when flashed, or will not cause unexpected behavior. You are responsible for verifying patches against your specific hardware before flashing.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to vehicle damage, bricked ECUs, lost income, or delays in repair work.
10. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. You may close your account at any time by emailing hello@immolocksmith.com. Closing does not refund unused credits.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes are notified by email to your account address at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction of our principal place of business. Disputes are resolved in that jurisdiction's courts.
