Do not know if your PCM is GPEC2, GPEC2A, GPEC3, GPEC4, GPEC4LM, or GPEC5? Upload a clear photo of the PCM label with your vehicle year, make, model, engine, VIN, and tool used to read the file.
- Original ECU/PCM read file
- PCM label photo
- Vehicle year, make, model, engine
- VIN
- PCM part number
- Tool used to read the file
- Read method: OBD, bench, or boot

- Battery support recommended when writing back
Year, make, and model alone are not enough to guarantee support. ECU family, PCM part number, software version, file format, and read method all matter.
Have everything ready? Upload your read and pay online, or mail in the PCM if you cannot read the file.

Frequently asked questions
- What is a GPEC2 or GPEC2A PCM?
- GPEC (Global Powertrain Engine Controller) is the Continental engine-control platform used across many Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles. GPEC2 and GPEC2A are specific generations of that controller found on a wide range of HEMI and Pentastar applications. We process supported GPEC2 and GPEC2A read files for tuning preparation and unlock access.
- Can I upload my ECU file instead of mailing the PCM?
- Yes. If you can read your original PCM/ECM file with a supported tool, upload it, pay online, and we return the processed file for you to write back. Mailing in the physical PCM is only needed when you cannot read the file yourself.
- What tools can read a GPEC2 or GPEC2A PCM?
- Supported reads commonly come from professional tools such as Alientech KESS3, AutoTuner, Magic Motorsport Flex, BitBox, FoxFlash, KT200, CMDFlash, and Dimsport New Genius / New Trasdata, plus supported bench-harness setups. Coverage depends on protocol, license, connection method, and software version.
- Can I use KESS3, AutoTuner, Flex, BitBox, FoxFlash, KT200, CMDFlash, or Dimsport?
- Yes, where the read is complete and compatible. Upload the original read from your tool and we process it for supported GPEC applications. If a read is partial or the protocol is unsupported, we tell you before you are charged.
- Do you support HP Tuners users?
- Yes — see our HP Tuners PCM Unlock page. Customers using HP Tuners and other supported platforms can request file service for supported GPEC applications. Coverage depends on the specific ECU and read.
- Is this the same as a tune?
- No. This is a PCM unlock and file-preparation service, not a tuning file. It prepares supported ECUs for the tuning workflow you run with your own tools, where legally permitted.
- Do you provide emissions delete files?
- No. We do not provide emissions defeat, delete files, or services intended to bypass emissions laws. Our service is for tuning preparation, diagnostics, repair, motorsport, and off-road use where legally permitted.
- What if I do not know my ECU family?
- Upload a clear photo of the PCM label along with your vehicle year, make, model, engine, VIN, and the tool you used to read the file. We confirm the GPEC family and whether the read is supported before processing.
- What if my file was read by OBD?
- OBD reads are sometimes supported and sometimes require a bench or boot read depending on the ECU and protocol. Tell us your read method when you order and we confirm what is needed.
- What if my write fails?
- Keep your original backup and battery support connected during writes. If a write fails, contact us for recovery support — we offer failed-write / recovery consultation on supported applications (quote required).
- Can shops send multiple files?
- Yes. Shops, tuners, and mobile programmers can submit multiple files, and bulk / shop accounts are available with custom pricing. Contact us to set up a shop account.
- How fast is turnaround?
- Standard file service is typically quick, and same-day priority processing is available on many supported files. Mail-in service depends on shipping time plus processing.
- Do you support Dodge Charger and Challenger?
- Yes. Dodge Charger and Challenger are core applications for this service, including 3.6L Pentastar, 5.7L HEMI, 6.4L / 392, and 6.2L supercharged applications where supported.
- Do you support Hellcat, Scat Pack, 392, Trackhawk, and HEMI applications?
- Many of these applications are supported for GPEC file service. Always verify by PCM label, part number, ECU family, and read file — year, make, and model alone are not enough to guarantee support.
