Why bother building another marketplace?

Most automotive-services marketplaces fail because they accept anyone with a credit card. Ours starts with a vetted bench.

Application-reviewed admission

Specialists join via written application + admin review. License + insurance can be uploaded for a verified-badge upgrade. No anonymous accounts — every profile shows the work history we have on file.

Regional matching

Most ECU work happens hand-to-hand. Each specialist sets a service radius — only those whose area includes your job get notified. Remote-capable specialists also see remote-OK jobs nationwide.

Honest reputation + escrow

Job outcomes are tracked — every completed job emits a rating + review that can't be deleted by the specialist. Payment is held in escrow until you confirm. Failed work is eligible for refund through admin dispute review (typically 1 business day).

For customers

How job posting works

From post to escrow in four steps. No subscription, no listing fee, no friction.

1
Describe the job

Vehicle (VIN auto-decodes), symptoms, photos. Pick a category so bids are comparable. ~2 minutes.

2
Specialists get matched

We notify approved specialists whose specialty + service area matches. Most jobs get 2–4 bids within 24 hours.

3
Compare + pick

All bids visible side-by-side with each specialist's price, timeline, reputation, and proposed approach. Not an auction — pick on the full picture, not lowest number.

4
Escrow + work

Payment held by us until you confirm the job is done. Failed work refunds — same policy as our direct remote-flash service.

The mechanics

How bidding works (and what it isn't)

We've borrowed the best ideas from Thumbtack, Angi, and Bark and stripped the parts that make those sites annoying.

A bid = a fixed-price quote

When a specialist submits a bid, the price is locked. No surprise hourly billing, no scope-creep negotiations after acceptance. What they quoted is what you pay.

One bid per specialist per job

Specialists can't re-bid to undercut once others have submitted. Their first number is their best number. We block second submissions at the database level.

You see bids together, not first-come-first-pick

Bids are revealed side-by-side with each specialist's price, timeline, reputation, and proposed approach. No urgency theatre — review them all and pick on the full picture, not the lowest number.

Only matched specialists get notified

Not blast-to-all. Each specialist sees jobs where (a) their specialties match the job category AND (b) the location matches their service area or the job is marked remote-OK. No inbox spam.

Customer contact stays hidden until accept

Specialists see vehicle, symptoms, location — but NOT your name, email, or phone. Contact is released the moment you accept a bid; the platform holds the privacy line until then.

Escrow + auto-refund on failure

Payment lands with the platform when you accept, not with the specialist. Released after you confirm the job is done. If the work fails for any reason on the specialist's side, we refund — no arguments.

FAQ

Common questions

Is there an application fee or monthly subscription?
No application fee, no monthly subscription. Specialist pricing is pay-per-lead: your first 5 bids are free, then each additional bid costs $25— paid from a lead-credit balance you top up only when you actually want to bid. Customer pays the bid amount as-is; we don't take a cut from the job itself. Self-serve credit purchase is launching alongside the first specialist cohort.
What if my work area isn't covered today?
Apply anyway. Geographic coverage expansion is one of the primary inputs for which markets we open next. Multiple applicants from the same metro fast-tracks that area.
Can I keep doing my existing flash bookings through ECU Flash Cartel?
Yes — the Network is additive to the direct /flash booking service we run today. Existing customers stay direct; the Network handles the bid-driven jobs that don't fit our 8 supported platforms.
Why don't I see ratings on every specialist?
Reputation displays after a specialist completes ≥3 jobs. Early-cohort members are tagged “new to cohort” until they have a track record. We'd rather show no rating than a misleading 5-star-from-one-job. Apply the rest of the picture — years operating, specialties, location, proposed approach — when deciding.
